according to everything I have read there is no such thing as Privacy in the work place…
They can legally monitor everything you do on company property.
“They” claim that perosnal business, like emails and surfing, cost companies BILLIONS in lost work time so they jusify their snooping…
Top it off with how they are starting to dictate what you can and can not do OUTSIDE of work and we are totally screwed…
You can be fired if you smoke outside of work…
You can be fired if you do drugs or drink outside of work…
The only thing you can’t be fired for is being fat, gay, or old.

as far as smoking goes, in 1993 i showed up to work i met the world wide president i helped him count the number of people on a non break time there was 186 outside out of the building smoking out of 256 :
as for drugs that just dumb drug addiction get hurt more often and hurt others more often.
in 1992 a guy i worked with that did drugs brought a gun to work and killed another worker for talking to another female employee i was the drugs the other guy had never seen the girl outside of work. his wife and kids still miss him.
