		<description>I don&#039;t think so. There are certain products prohibited by law to be purchased by minors for safety reasons. In these cases they have to check the DOB or check your ID. I had to buy model glue for my teenage nephew one time because they were only allowed to sell it to an adult.  I think they use it to get high.

I think that it depends on the situation really.  But for the most part they can ask.</description>

		<description>If the product is legally regulated (like cigarettes or alcohol), then by law, a customer/potential buyer must provide proof of DOB to be allowed to purchase that item.

If the shelf with compressed air has a notice that &quot;must be over X years old to purchase&quot;, then the customer has nothing to complain about.

Like a 16-year old getting pissed cuz the gas station attendant won&#039;t sell him a pack of smokes.... Tough nuts, kid!</description>
